Lamplight Summer Camp is a free summer program on the edge of Guntersville Lake where teens practice leadership and service by running the camp themselves and doing projects for their community. Along the way, campers learn real-world skills and how to live together as a community. At Lamplight, campers are responsible for making important decisions about the direction of the program and then making sure those decisions are implemented.

Camp Cha-La-Kee, affiliated with Heart of the Valley YMCA, is located on 61 wooded acres at Lake Guntersville and offers mini, day, and overnight camp sessions throughout the summer. In the fall and spring, Camp Cha-La-Kee serves rental groups and schools as a conference, retreat and outdoor education center. They have been helping campers create memories and friendships while building confidence and maturity for nearly 70 years, progressing children from first-time campers to camp leaders through five programs.

 The Marshall County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program enables men and women to contribute the talents and skills learned over a lifetime to their communities through volunteer service which enhances the lives of the volunteers and those whom they serve and provides communities with valuable service that impact community needs.

Extension provides research-based educational programs in agriculture, including best farming practices, beef herd health, pond and wildlife management, farm financial management, and home garden and commercial horticulture pest and disease management; forestry, and natural resources; family and consumer sciences; economic and community development, including SNAP-Ed recipient education, Hispanic outreach to new mothers and children, and estate planning; 4-H and youth development such as leadership and life skills; and urban affairs.

Our mission is to bring order, fairness, and professionalism to the real estate business in order to help Marshall County Residents achieve home ownership.

Altrusa International of Marshall County is a nonprofit service organization that promotes literacy and funds the fight
for children’s, seniors’, and veterans’ welfare.

They offer a variety of ways to get involved including volunteering but also by attending an array of community events. Friday, November 17 brings Fall Bingo Night, a fundraiser including a silent auction, at the Marshall County RSVP building. They are also finalizing plans for the 2024 Home Show fundraiser at SMPA, their biggest fundraiser of the year. Guntersville Ladies Civitan Club was established in September 1996 as a member of Civitan International. Our mission is to build good citizenship through service to the community, with a focus on helping people with developmental disabilities. We support the Civitan International Research Center, the ARC of Marshall County, Guntersville School System Special Needs Classrooms, The Maker's Child Program, Wildcat Pantry at GHS, Every Child's Pantry at GMS, Jr Civitans at GHS and GMS, Blessings in a Backpack, God's Little Pantry, and CASA. We are always looking for new ways to serve our community.

Established in 2019 and having graduated 386 students, North Alabama Homebuilding Academy is excited to launch their program here in Marshall County! The Academy offers hands-on, tuition-free construction skills training for individuals seeking a career in the homebuilding industry.

Classes will be held at Marshall Technical School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 8:30pm. Topics range from Construction math and blueprint reading, basic safety, and hand and power tools. The Academy also offers career and resume prep and job fairs designed to get students connected with potential employers. Participating in these job fairs has led to an 85% success rate of connecting students with careers.

The Marshall County Area Lions Club has many initiatives that support the community, including providing eye exams, glasses, and eye surgery for those who cannot afford to pay; conduct free eye sight screenings; provide "lunch n learn" sessions related to Diabetes Education; feed the hungry by partnering with local food banks; environmental cleanup; provide books, toys, and gas cards to families with children with cancer; and much more.
